Coulisse builds brand awareness in Asia

Last September Coulisse joint a soft launch event to boost brand awareness in the Indonesian market. Furthermore within the context of a joint venture in China, Coulisse opened almost simultaneously showrooms in Beijing and Shanghai. With various tailor-made collection books, the Coulisse brand was introduced in Malaysia and Thailand. This way Coulisse invests in its presence in Asia.

Soft launch event Coulisse brand in Indonesia

Coulisse’s distribution partner PT Imaji Nata Kirana initiated a soft launch of the Coulisse brand, joining the prestigious ID12 bi-annual event in Jakarta last September. During this two-day event, Coulisse and partner aimed at introducing the Coulisse brand to decision makers in the interior design industry in Indonesia. Coulisse kicked off the Be Inspired by Coulisse – event with a talk show at the ID12 exhibition, organized by twelve senior interior designers and architects, including the famous designer Rinaldy a. Yunardi. For the occasion of the event, in symbolically combining interior, fashion and window coverings, he created three impressive hats in the shape of a lamp with Coulisse roller blind fabrics. The next day PT Imaji invited thirty young designers for an inspirational lunch and organized an interactive ‘idea exchange’ session focusing on the collaboration with architects in the afternoon.

The successful soft launch in Jakarta was followed by an inspirational launch party this past November, in the second-largest city of Indonesia, Surubaya.

Mrs Jenfilia Suwandrei Arifin, Director of PT Imaji, explains: ‘Since we first introduced Coulisse in Indonesia we have had only very positive response to the brand. It has a material luxury, endless decorative variety, wide, rich color palettes and innovative technologies to pamper its users. In the market Coulisse has the reputation of being a real premium brand. For us, it has everything and more to fulfill our client’s desires and dreams.

These coming years we want to further expand on that positive vibe. Perhaps even by opening a Coulisse showroom next year.’

New Coulisse showrooms in China and Malaysia

Coulisse officially opened new showrooms in Shanghai and Beijing very recently. The new showroom in Shanghai is located at the Shanghai World Financial Center, a landmark building designed by architects of Kohn Pederson Fox. The Beijing showroom is located in the Galaxy Soho building, which was designed by world-famous architect Zaha Hadid. These landmark locations underline the identity of Coulisse as a premium brand. ‘They are the perfect locations for Coulisse to create more visibility with architects and interior designers throughout China.’, so says Dave Chang, Director Asia Pacific for Coulisse.

After the success of Coulisse’s launch in Malaysia back in the year 2014, a new factory and showroom in Malaysia were recently built and officially opened in October 2016. In the new showroom Coulisse’s partner Elyza’s presents a high-end double roller collection under the name Elyza’s by Coulisse.
