How to setup the Motion Box

STEP 1 – Unboxing
Open the Motion Box.
Attach the roller blind to the box as shown in the picture above.

STEP 2 – Activate the blind
Connect the xtorm power bank to the motor with the micro usb cable.
Press the ‘power’ button on the xtorm power bank to activate and charge the blind (removing transport mode)

To use the bridge / Alexa follow the next steps, you will need 2 phones to set-up the motion box.

STEP 3 – Download the following apps on phone 1

  1. Download the Motion Blinds app on your mobile device from the App Store or Play Store.Download the Motion Blinds app on the App Store Get the Motion Blinds app on Google Play
  2. Download the Amazon Alexa app on your mobile device from the App Store or Play Store.Download the Amazon Alexa app on the App Store Get the Amazon Alexa app on Google Play

STEP 4 - Log in to the accounts on phone 1
Log in with the following email + password (DO NOT CHANGE!)
Email : motionboxdiy1@gmail.com
Password : MOTION-Box1

STEP 5 - Power the bridge and Amazon Alexa
Connect the bridge and Amazon Alexa to the xtorm power bank using the USB-hub

STEP 6 Create a hotspot with phone 2
Connect Phone 1 with the hotspot of phone 2

STEP 7 Update the Wi-Fi of Alexa
Open the Alexa app and go to devices, click on the echo and change the Wi-Fi network.

STEP 8 Update the Wi-Fi of MOTION bridge
Open the MOTION-Blinds app and go to settings, Click on MyHouse, click on the motion box diy, click on Wi-Fi update and follow the guide in the app. Similar to the Alexa video.

STEP 9 Change the name in an Alexa routine
Open the Alexa app and go to routines, open the what is motion routine and change the name of the person you are meeting.

STEP 10 - Control the blinds
Use phone 1 to control the blinds with the app and/or use your voice to control the blinds with Alexa

STEP 11 Activate transport mode
Hold the program button on the blind and pull twice on the cord to put the motor in transport mode.
